Marching Band Arrangements
Jazz Without Borders also offers
marching band arrangements.
But not the typical, standard
fare. The music here was written to be unique, original, and
special takes on great
music. It, too, crosses borders.
Please Note: Because it is
common practice for bands to have their own
percussion arranger, these
arrangements are for the winds section only unless
indicated that pit percussion and/or battery percussion are
included.
Each arangement can be delivered electronically as pdf files, or shipped on paper, and includes a conductor's score
and parts for all instrumentation.

Meet
Eddie CarrEddie
has worked for the Parkway West Marching Band virtually every year
since 1984. After marching three summers in DCI as a lead soprano
(trumpet), including with the acclaimed Madison Scouts, he taught and
wrote for marching bands and drum & bugle corps across the United
States.
He
has had the honor of working with Parkway West directors John Baker (a
mentor), David Zamborsky, Ryan Curtis, Ben Pyatt, and now Brad Wallace.
During
the 1990s, he designed drill for Parkway West during a stretch of three
consecutive First Place victories in the Gold Division at the Greater
St. Louis Marching Band Festival.

Later, he wrote
award-winning shows for Parkway North, Francis Howell, Francis Howell
North, O'Fallon Township, Oakville, Mehlville, and Lindbergh High
Schools.
Eddie was the
founding, resident designer and staff coordinator of the Sonic Lancers
Drum & Bugle Corps in Omiya, Japan. In DCI, Eddie wrote drill for
the Railmen, Omaha, Nebraska, and Div. III Finalists The Capitolaires
of Madison, WI.
Eddie was a lead soprano with the Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle
Corps, the 27th Lancers, and the Sacramento Freelancers. He majored in
music and studied composing at BYU and was a trumpet soloist with th
acclaimed Synthesis Big Band.
Eddie is
currently the director of the Maryville University pep band "The Sound
of the Saints," and performs locally on the jazz scene as a trumpet
player and pianist.
This mini-documentary,
produced and broadcasted by St. Louis PBS station
KETC, discusses the art of designing a marching show. It features a
mid-90s iteration of the Parkway West High School Longhorn Band from
Ballwin, MO.
